JEE Main 2021 Session 4: Students' reaction, paper analysis of August 31 exam
Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2021 Session 4 Day 3 concluded today. Read below the students’ reactions and exam analysis.
JEE Main 2021 analysis shift 1
As per the students who appeared in the morning session, the overall paper was of moderate difficulty level. The mathematics section was moderate and included questions from calculus, algebra and vectors. Some questions were lengthy and required calculations. Physics section was also of moderate difficulty level. There were questions from mechanics, thermodynamics and semiconductors. The chemistry section was totally NCERT-based. There were questions from physical, organic and inorganic chemistry, biomolecules and polymers.
Deepak Dubey, who appeared in the morning shift, said, “The mathematics and physics section was moderate and chemistry was simple. There were questions from organic chemistry, environment chemistry and biomolecules. In maths, questions were asked from the topics of integration, geometry and statistics. Chemistry section was easy and totally NCERT based.”

Ajay Kumar Sharma, National Academic Director (Engineering), said, “All in all, it was a moderate paper which can be solved in three hours. The subject-wise difficulty level can be assumed as mathematics > physics > chemistry.”
JEE Main 2021 analysis shift 2
As per the students’ reactions, the overall difficulty level of the JEE Main 2021 August 31 shift 2 exam was moderate. Radhika Bragta, who took JEE Main in the evening session, said, “Chemistry was easy, while physics and maths were moderate. Maths was lengthy and questions on calculus, integration and parabola were asked. In physics, there were questions from electrostatic, thermodynamics, semiconductors and thermal conductivity. Questions on Chemical kinetics and polymers dominated the chemistry section.”

The JEE Main 2021 (Session 4) is being held on August 26, 27, 31, and September 1 and 2 in 13 languages – English, Hindi, Gujarati, Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. The first and second sessions were conducted in February and March, respectively. The third session was held on July 20, 22, 25 & 27. JEE Main is the engineering entrance exam for admission to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. JEE Main is also the qualifying exam for the JEE Advanced, the only admission test for the IITs. This year, IIT Kharagpur will conduct the JEE Advanced.
