JEE Main 2022 eligibility criteria released; application forms expected anytime soon
Every aspirant needs to fulfil the conditions of JEE Main eligibility criteria in order to appear in the examination.
The National Testing Agency has released the JEE Main 2022 eligibility criteria today, March 1 on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Eligibility criteria are the conditions that every candidate need to fulfil in order to apply for JEE Main. As per the eligibility criteria released;

Only those candidates who have passed the Class 12/equivalent examination in 2020, 2021, or are appearing in 2022, are eligible to appear in JEE Main 2022.

Candidates who passed the Class 12/equivalent examination in 2019 or before as well as those who will appear in 2023 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE Main 2022.

Candidates who are appearing or have passed the class 12/equivalent examination from open schooling or higher secondary vocational examination are also eligible to apply
NTA has also released the complete list of all examinations that are considered equivalent to class 12 examinations. Candidates who have passed or appearing in the following equivalent examination are eligible to apply for JEE Main 2022:

Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.

Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy

A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 years duration

General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.

High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
JEE Mains 2022 registration expected Soon
As NTA has released the eligibility criteria for the examination, it is expected that JEE Mains 2022 notification with complete details and application forms will be released anytime soon now. It is likely that JEE Main application form 2022 will be released today or lastly by this week. Application forms will be released only in online mode on the official website of JEE Main 2022.
Number of attempts likely to reduce
It is expected that NTA will reduce the number of attempts this year. However, no official information on this has been released by the NTA. As per several news reports, JEE Mains 2022 will be held only in two attempts this year in April and May. The dates and number of attempts will be announced along with the start of the registration process.
