JEE Mains 2026 Exam Rescheduled for West Bengal Students; Jan 23 Candidates to Get New Date

JEE Main exam date rescheduled
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has notified that the exam for all students of West Bengal who have been allotted the January 23 schedule will be rescheduled for another date. This decision has been taken in view of the celebration of Saraswati Puja on January 23, 2026.
NTA has notified on their X account. The post reads:
In view of the representations received from candidates in the state of West Bengal regarding the celebration of Saraswati Puja on 23 rd January 2026, it has been decided that all candidates scheduled to appear for JEE (Main) in West Bengal on 23 rd January 2026 shall be allotted another date of examination among the advertised dates for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1 examination. The National Testing Agency will release new dates for the candidates of West Bengal state who have been allotted the exam date of January 23 from the already scheduled exam dates. The scheduled dates of the JEE Main 2026 exam are January 21, 22, 23, 24, 28 and 29.
NTA to Release JEE Main 2026 Admit Card Soon
NTA has released the city intimation slip, and the JEE Main admit card is expected to follow shortly. However, NTA has not announced an official date yet and has only been notified that the admit card will be available 3 to 4 days before the JEE Mains session 1 exam. Candidates are advised to check the official website regularly and avoid relying on unofficial sources.
JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. Paper 1 (BTech/BE) and Paper 2 (BArch/BPlanning) will be conducted separately as per the schedule released by NTA. Check below:
