KCET Counselling 2025: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the KCET 2025 round 1 option entry deadline to August 14, 2025. The Karnataka UGCET option entry link is available on the official website: cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea. Candidates can exercise their UGCET choices for round 1 allotted seats between August 2 and 14, 2025, while the last date to report to the respective institutes based on round 1 seat allotment is August 15, 2025.
The KCET 2025 counselling process involves document verification, option entry, seat allotment, and reporting to the allotted institutes, with seat allocation based on candidates’ preferences, ranks, and the availability of seats.

Candidates can either accept their allotted seats and confirm admission or choose seat upgradation in subsequent counselling rounds. To retain an allotted seat in case of non-upgradation, candidates must pay the acceptance fee and physically report to the allotted institute. They may also reject their current seat and wait for the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) to announce the next round of seat allotments on the official website. No fee payment is required for this option.
No, there is no break in between KCET 2025 exam However, Karnataka Examination Authority will allow applicants to go out after the conclusion of a paper. Applicants can leave the exam centre only after the completion of the KCET exam.
No, Karnataka Examination Authority will not allow candidates to use calculators during the KCET 2025 exam. Applicants are also not allowed to carry any electronics devices like mobile phones, pagers and other items inside the exam centre. Applicants appearing in the exam can use their question paper for rough work. The authorities will allow candidates to do calculations and rough work in the question paper booklet. Any candidate carrying restricted items inside the KCET 2025 exam hall will be disqualified from the admission process.
