The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) issued an update on its official twitter handle about the second-round seat allotment for UGCET 2026. The authority has opened an online portal where it allows candidates to cancel their allotted seats across engineering, architecture, farm science, veterinary, nursing, and allied health courses. KCET 2026: Guidelines for Choice-1 and Choice-4 Candidates

Following publication of final seat allotment results on August 24, 2026, KEA has restricted candidate choices strictly to Choice-1 or Choice-4:

• Candidates selecting Choice-1 must take admission to their allotted college. If they are not interested in seat upgradation they can participate round 3. Currently there are no updates about the KCET counselling round 3 schedule release.

• If students decide to reject Choice-1 allotment to enter Round 3, they will be forfeited of their INR 5,000 deposit. Candidates must clear this fee to log in for next round and must cancel their seat online through portal before August 29 to avoid offline processing and maintain subsequent eligibility.

Advisory for Medical and Dental Aspirants

KEA has also issued notice to Medical and Dental students who entered their choice entries. Candidates not interested in currently allotted engineering or professional seats are advised to choose Choice-4. This will safeguard their eligibility to participate in upcoming Medical and Dental 2nd-round counseling processes.

Earlier the exam body released the KCET round 2 final phase seat allotment on August 24, 2026.
