Centralizes UGCET 2026 Seat Allocation

In a bid to ensure proper transparency and to ease the lives of students and parents, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) announced that government quota seats in private professional colleges and universities will be allocated through a centralized counseling process for UGCET 2026.

In the notice released by the exam body on its official X social media account, it has covered all aided, unaided, religious minority, and linguistic minority institutions across Karnataka. Alongside seat allocation, the exam body KEA has also formed a Fee Control Committee and issued a strict warning to private colleges/universities against illegal capitation and excess fee demands.

It has also asked the students facing extra fee demands from colleges to file a formal complaint at the Fee Control Committee office, located on the ground floor of KEA building in Malleshwaram, Bengaluru. Committee Chairperson, stated that immediate action will be taken against violating institutions to protect student interests.
