CEE Kerala has activated the Kerala Government Entrance Exam application link on the official website. Candidates must do the KEAM Registration by visiting the official website, cee.kerala.gov.in. The application form link will be active till January 31, 2026. KEAM 2026 application form can be filled by candidates who want to apply for Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, MBBS, BDS, Homoeopathy, Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, Agriculture, Forestry, Veterinary, Fisheries, Co-operation & Banking/Agri. Management, Climate Change & Environmental Science and B.Tech Biotechnology courses. The KEAM 2026 exam will be conducted on April 13, 2026 and from April 16 to 25, 2026.

The authorities have released the notification mentioning the documents required for KEAM registration, and also during the admission process. Candidates can check the list below and keep it ready before they start filling the application form.

    KEAM 2026 Registration Fee Payment

    The KEAM 2026 application fee can be paid online using Debit Card/Credit Card/Net banking. Candidates choosing 'Dubai' as the Examination Centre will have to remit an additional fee of INR 16,000 by way of online payment. Such candidates should give a local contact number, if available, in their application in the appropriate place.

    The Admit Cards for the Engineering/PharmacyEntrance Examination can be downloaded from the website, cee.kerala.gov.in. Notification in this regard will be issued in due course. The printout of the admit card must be taken at the time of examination. The Admit Card will be issued only to those candidates who have selected the Engineering/Pharmacy course.   • Q:   Can a student outside Kerala opt for KEAM?
    A:

    KEAM is the Kerala Engineering entrance examination for those candidates who wish to pursue UG engineering courses from the prestigious private and government colleges of Kerala. Yes, a student apply for KEAM if they satisfy the eligibility condition:

    • The appearing candidates should be an Indian citizen.
    • Person of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are also eligible to apply but they are not entitled to claim any reservation.

    The candidates who are not Kerala origin and even their parents also dont have any residence proof of Kerala, but satisfying the following candidates:

    • Passed their qualifying examination from Kerala and Parents are posted in Kerala and employee of defense or central government.
    • The candidates whose parents are serving/served Kerala Government for a period of 2 years and appearing/appeared qualifying examination from Kerala will come in this category and eligible for applying.
    • In case, if the candidate is not the permanent resident of Kerala but spent 5 years of his/her study in Kerala then he/she is also eligible.
    • Those who do not have domicile certificate of Kerala but completed/pursuing their 8th to 12th studies from Kerala are also eligible for KEAM.
    Q:   What education qualification is required to apply for KEAM?
    A:

    The educational qualification for KEAM will be different for various engineering programmes offered. However, the minimum eligibility criteria is that a candidate should have passed Class 12 with Science subjects. Qualification for engineering courses: Candidates are eligible to apply for programmes such as B.Tech (Ag. Engineering. ). And B.Tech (Food engineering. ). And B.Tech (Dairy Science & Technology) if they fulfil the below-mentioned criteria: Must clear the HSC exam of Kerala or equivalent from a recognised board. Must have secured a minimum 50% marks in the subject of Mathematics, as well as 50% aggregate in Physics and Chemistry. However, candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognised as equivalent thereto, with 45% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission under Management Quota in Private Self Financing Engineering Colleges/Government Controlled Self Financing Engineering Colleges. In case, a candidate has not studied Chemistry. The marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science, the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry. Computer Science and Biotechnology, the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered The marks as shown in the mark list of the qualifying examination obtained from the respective Higher Secondary Board shall be considered for determining academic eligibility. Qualification for B.Tech (DSc & Tech): Candidates are eligible to apply under this category if they have: Passed HSC exam of Kerala or its equivalent with 50% marks in the subject of Mathematics or Biology. Secured an aggregate of 50% in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology. Such candidates will need to pursue a make-up course in Basic Mathematics (2+0) credits or Applied Biology (1+1) credit as the case may be.

    Q:   What is the admission criteria in engineering colleges - KEAM score or KEAM rank?
    A:

    Admission is made based on KEAM ranks and not the scores. The scores are used to assign ranks to the candidates. KEAM scores with 10+2 standardised scores are used in the weightage of 50:50 to assign ranks. The KEAM 2026 rank lists PDF will be published separately for Engineering, Architecture, B.Pharma, MBBS / BDS / BHMS / BSMS / BUMS / Agriculture / Forestry / Veterinary / Co-operation & Banking / Climate Change & Environmental Science / B.Tech Biotechnology (under KAU) / Fisheries and B.A. MS will be published.

    KEAM Registration Live: Exam Pattern for Engineering

    KEAM engineering exam is held in computer-based test mode, and there is one paper. All questions in the exam are MCQ type. The total number of questions is 150 and each question carries 4 marks. For each wrong answer, 1 mark is going to be deducted. Total marks in the exam are 600, and the total time is 180 minutes.

    KEAM Exam 2026 Live Updates: Subjects in the exam

    KEAM 2026 entrance exam for engineering admission will have questions from  Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. While the BPharm candidates have to appear for Physics and Chemistry only. The KEAM entrance exam for engineering courses consists of 150 questions, with Mathematics having 75 questions, Physics having 45 questions, and Chemistry having 30 questions. Candidates get 180 minutes to complete the exam.

    KEAM 2026: Admission Process

    Admission Process through KEAM has two parts: an entrance exam for UG engineering and pharmacy admission and a centralised admission process (CAP counselling) for UG medical, agriculture, forestry, veterinary, fisheries, and architecture courses based on various national-level entrance exam scores like NEET and NATA.

    The candidates interested in admission to any of these courses have to register for KEAM. However, only the UG engineering and pharmacy aspirants will have to appear for the KEAM entrance exam; the rest of the candidates will have to directly register for CAP with their applicable national-level entrance exam marks.
