CET Cell has released the official details on the MHT CET 2026 PCM result statistics. The official stats help us understand what was the performance of the students in both shifts and how many students registered vs appeared for the PCM exam. There is a significant difference between the participation numbers of both attempts for MHT CET 2026 PCM exam.

MHT CET 2026 Result Highlights: Second Attempt Sees a Drop in Participation and Toppers

The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra has released the attendance statistics for the MHT CET 2026 exam for PCM for both attempts. Students can check the performance trends between the two attempts. A look at the official statistics shows a noticeable drop in attendance as well as in the number of candidates securing a perfect score in the second attempt. According to the official data, a total of 3,21,918 candidates registered for the PCM Second Attempt examination. Of these 2,85,121 candidates appeared for the examination.

Participation Falls Sharply in MHT CET Second Attempt

The first attempt of the MHT CET PCM exam saw a larger number of candidates. A total of 4,79,332 students registered for the first attempt, while the number of registrations for the second attempt was 3,21,918. There is a difference of 157,414 in registrations and its affect is also seen in the participation numbers and the numbers of top scorers.

Perfect Scorers Reduced From 26 to 12

In the first attempt of MHT CET 2026 PCM a total of 26 students obtained a 100 percentile, while the second attempt only saw 12 toppers. Both attempts recorded toppers from outside the state as well highlighting the performance of students from across the country as well as the demand of the exam.
