MHT CET 2026 CAP Round 1 Allotment Result Today
The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra, is set to announce the MHT CET 2026 CAP round 1 seat allotment result today, August 2, for admission to BE and BTech programmes. Candidates who submitted the CAP round 1 option form will be able to check their allotment status through the official counselling portal once the result is declared.

To download the allotment letter, candidates will have to log in using their application ID and password on the official CAP portal. The allotment will be prepared based on the candidate’s merit rank, category, reservation rules, preferences submitted during option entry and seat availability.

While the CET Cell has not officially announced a release time, the seat allotment link is expected to go live between 6 PM and 8 PM, based on the release pattern followed in past year's counselling rounds.

With 97.5 percentile in MHT-CET, you have a strong chance to get admission in reputed colleges like PICT Pune, VIT Pune, SPIT Mumbai, or Thakur College of Engineering for branches such as IT, ECE, or Electrical. COEP and VJTI may be difficult for CSE. Government colleges like WCE Sangli, SGGS Nanded, and GCOE Amravati are also good options. You can get preferred branches in private colleges and core branches in government ones. Your chances further improve if you belong to a reserved category or have home university advantage within Maharashtra.

To register for MHT CET counselling, candidates have to visit the official website - cetcell.mahacet.org and register online with the details asked.
Candidates who receive a seat in CAP Round 1 must complete the online seat acceptance process and report to the allotted institute within the schedule notified by the CET Cell. As per the counselling calendar, the seat acceptance and reporting process will be held from August 3 to August 5, while the vacant seat list for CAP Round 2 is scheduled to be displayed on August 6.
This year, the engineering CAP counselling is being conducted for over 1.92 lakh seats across 380 participating institutes in Maharashtra, making it one of the largest engineering admission processes in the country.
