MHT CET 2026 PCB Result Statistics Out
The State, Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra declared the MHT CET PCB 2nd attempt 2026 result on June 17. Four students have secured 100 percentile in the exam, 2 of these are females. The exam was conducted on May 10 and 11 in four shifts across Maharashtra. A total of 1,16,540 candidates registered for the MHT CET 2026 PCB 2nd attempt exam. Out of these, 95,631 students appeared for the test, resulting in an overall attendance rate of 82.06%.

Among male candidates, 35,345 appeared out of 43,611 registered, while 60,285 female candidates appeared out of 72,927 registrations. Female candidates recorded a slightly higher attendance percentage than male candidates.

Candidates can now check their MHT CET 2026 PCB Second Attempt scores through the official CET Cell portal using their credentials. The result will be used for the upcoming admission and counselling process for various health science and allied courses in Maharashtra.
Commonly asked questions
With 97.5 percentile in MHT-CET, you have a strong chance to get admission in reputed colleges like PICT Pune, VIT Pune, SPIT Mumbai, or Thakur College of Engineering for branches such as IT, ECE, or Electrical. COEP and VJTI may be difficult for CSE. Government colleges like WCE Sangli, SGGS Nanded, and GCOE Amravati are also good options. You can get preferred branches in private colleges and core branches in government ones. Your chances further improve if you belong to a reserved category or have home university advantage within Maharashtra.
For the General HS category, the cutoff ranged from 4.33 to 20.54 percentile for M.Tech course specialisations. Therefore, students need to attain at least 4.33 percentile for admissions at COEP Pune. MHT CET M.Tech percentiles are required for admission to M.Tech courses at COEP, Pune.
Students should note that the above mentioned percentile is only valid for the General HS category in the last round. Other rounds and categories will have different minimum qualifying percentiles. To know more, students can click here.
With 120 marks in MHT-CET (General category), you are unlikely to get top colleges/branches (like CSE/IT in COEP, VJTI) but can aim for mid-tier private/university-affiliated colleges in less competitive branches.
