MHT CET 2026 Session 1 PCM Exam Records 95% Attendance, 11,000 Skip Exam Likely Due to 2nd Attempt Option
The MHT CET 2026 session 1 exam has finally concluded after 15 days. The authority has also announced the final schedule for MHT CET session 2. The CET Cell recorded approximately 95% attendance for the PCM group. Know how many appeared for the PCM group here.
The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra, conducted the MHT CET 2026 exam for session 1 from April 11 to 20, for the PCM group. The PCB group exam was conducted from April 21 to 26. The exam was conducted in over 191 exam centres across the state. A total of 4,79,334 students had registered for the first attempt of the MHT CET PCM exam. Out of these, 4,54,079 students actually appeared for the exam, making the overall attendance 94.73 %.
25,255 students did not appear for the exam. Out of these, 11,036 students had registered for both attempts. It is possible that these students skipped the first attempt as they plan to appear in the second attempt instead.
MHT CET 2026 Second Attempt Exam Date
The authority has announced the dates for the second attempt. The MHT CET 2026 2nd attempt for PCB is scheduled for May 10 and 11. The MHT CET 2026 session 2 exam date for PCM is May 12 to 21.
This is the first time the authorities are conducting the MHT CET exam in two sessions, similar to the national-level JEE Mains exam. The MHT CET exam will be conducted in two shifts on each exam day. The exam date and shift will be confirmed through the city intimation slips, while the complete exam centre address will be mentioned on the admit card.
