The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, will conduct the MHT CET 2026 exam in Maharashtra only. Candidates registering for the exam will only find exam centre options located within Maharashtra. The decision was taken by the state authorities to strengthen the security and integrity of the entrance examination process.

MHT CET 2026 registration is ongoing at cetcell.mahacet.org. The last date for registration is February 12, 2026. Candidates do not have the option to appear for MHT CET 2026 outside the state. MHT CET 2026 Registration Ongoing; No Centres Outside Maharashtra This Year

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, will conduct the MHT CET 2026 exam in Maharashtra only. Candidates registering for the exam will only find exam centre options located within Maharashtra. The decision was taken by the state authorities to strengthen the security and integrity of the entrance exam. In the past, there have been reports of irregularities at some out-of-state centres. This raised concerns regarding the transparency and conduct of the exam. Which is why it has been decided that the exam will only be conducted in Maharashtra.

The exam is open to all registered candidates, irrespective of domicile. Aspirants from other states have to travel to Maharashtra to attend the examination. The MHT CET 2026 registration is already in ongoing. The last date to apply for MHT CET 2026 is February 12, while the last date for fee payment is February 13, 2026. Similar to the national-level JEE Mains exam, the authorities are conducting the exam in two sessions. Candidates can choose to apply for both sessions together. As of January 27, 2.38 lakh candidates have already applied for the MHT CET 2026 exam.

While it is necessary that students pay special attention to chapters with high weightage, it is highly advised that they cover the full MHT CET syllabus. The question paper of MHT CET is prepared by considering the entire CET syllabus which consists of topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from class 11 and 12. Important study material for MHT CET like books or short notes can be checked online. Students who are taking coaching can get the study materials from the coaching institutes.

MHT CET 2026 will be held for admission into undergraduate professional courses in engineering, pharmacy, agriculture and related fields. The MHT CET PCM exam date for session 1 is April 11 to 19, 2026, while the PCB exam date is April 21 to 26, 2026. The session 2 exam date for PCB is May 10 to 11, 2026 and for PCM is May 14 to 17, 2026.
