Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT Pune) is conducting the ACAP/ spot admission process for first year B.Tech for the academic year 2026-27. A total of 13,458 unique candidates are eligilble for B.Tech admission to the institute. The authorities have announced 224 vacant seats across all branches for all categories. Admissions will be made based on the candadte's merit and availability. For this, the institute has released different merit lists for MHT CET and JEE Main candidates. Further there are two sets of merit lists for ACAP/ spot round 1 and 2.

VIT Pune admission 2026: 244 ACAP seats
The ACAP/spot admission process is being conducted for vacant seats remaining after the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). The ACAP round merit list ranks all eligible candidates for admission against vacant seats after CAP. For the current admission process, 244 seats are available through ACAP counselling, while the combined merit lists contain around 13,458 unique candidates.
Candidates included in the VIT Pune merit lists should check their merit number, application ID and admission category carefully. Those participating in ACAP/spot admission should also check the institute's latest admission instructions, seat availability and reporting requirements before proceeding.
VIT Pune merit list 2026: What do the lists contain?
The MHT CET merit list contains details such as Institute Merit Number, State General Merit Number, Application ID, candidate name, category, gender and MHT CET percentile. The JEE Main merit list includes the Institute Merit Number, All India Merit Number, Application ID, candidate name and JEE Main percentile, along with subject-wise percentile details. VIT Pune has stated in the merit-list documents that the lists were generated using candidate information from the official State CET Cell data and applications received through the institute's portal.
