It is advised that students follow all the guidelines and instructions to ensure maximum safety and hygeine at the exam centre.

The National Testing Agency has issued a list of COVID-19 advisory and exam day guidelines which will be followed at the examination centres for the upcoming JEE Main 2021 phase 3 exam. Students can check these COVID-19 guidelines and exam day instructions on their JEE Main admit card 2021. The detailed list of all instructions and measures which will be followed by NTA is provided here. NTA will be conducting JEE Main 2021 phase 3 exams on July 20, 22, 25 and 27 at 828 exam centres spread across 334 exam cities of India and abroad.

NTA has informed that all latest COVID-19 measures and protocols will be followed at the examination centres as per Government of India Guidelines to maintain the required standard of safety and hygiene. In addition to the preparation from NTA, students need to follow all COVID related advisory and exam day instructions at the examination centre. Candidates who will be appearing in the session 3 exam can check below deatiled JEE Main 2021 exam day guidelines and COVID special instructions. 

Preparation at the JEE Main Exam Centre

  • The pathway to the exam hall including door handles, staircase, railings and seating areas will be sanitized.

  • Monitor, keyboard, mouse, webcam, desk and the chair will be disinfected before and after every shift.

  • Students will be seated with a gap between two seats

  • Hand sanitizers will be available at the entry to the exam centre and also inside the exam hall

  • Temperature of students will be checked using Thermo Guns.

  • Face masks will be provided to students at the exam centre

  • Students will be provided 6 rough sheets which will be placed on their seats before the beginning of exam

  • NTA will ensure that all the process of frisking is touch free with social distance norms

  • To avoid crowd at the exam centres, students will be given staggered time slots for reporting

Guidelines for Candidates

  • Candidates should report to the examination centre as per the reporting time mentioned on their JEE Main admit card.

  • Candidates need to maintain a distance of at least 6 feet with each other all the time inside the exam centre.

  • Candidates will be required to sanitize their hands before entry to the exam centre

  • Candidates will be provided fresh mask at the time of entry to the exam centre. Candidates have to wear the freshly provided masks and remove the ones carried by them to avoid any chance of UFM.

  • Students are advised not to bring anything other then the permitted items

  • Candidates should fill the Self Declaration Undertaking part of their JEE Main admit card and sign at the appropriate place beforehand their entry to exam hall.

List of items to be carried by Candidates

  • JEE Main Admit Card 2021 for phase 3 (April) exam

  • One photo Id proof and a colour photograph

  • Transparent ball point pen

  • Personal hand sanitizers

  • Face mask and hand gloves

  • Transparent water bottle

Around 7 lakh candidates have registered for the JEE Main 2021 phase 3. The exam will be conducted in online mode as Computer Based Test in two shifts each day on July 20, 22, 25 and 27. Admit cards for the phase 3 exam are available online on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
