NTA to Allot JEE Main Exam Date 2026 via City Intimation Slip in First Week of January
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will allot the JEE Main 2026 exam date and city in the first week of January via the city intimation slip. The JEE Main city intimation slip 2026 will be released on the official website under the respective logins of the candidates. Check complete details below.
NTA to Allot JEE Main Exam Date 2026 via City Intimation Slip in First Week of January
The JEE Main exam date 2026 will be allotted to all individual registered candidates via the JEE Main 2026 advanced city intimation slip in the first week of January 2026. The advanced city intimation slip will also have the city name where the candidate will get their exam centre allotted. NTA will upload the city intimation slip on the official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can download and check their city intimation slip using the JEE Main 2026 application number and password.
Note that the exam shift, exam centre name and address will not be available via the city intimation slip. These details will be available via the JEE Main 2026 admit card, which will be issued 3 to 4 days before the allotted exam date.
This year, NTA has added 33 new exam cities, while 7 exam cities have been removed/merged. JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam will be held in 305 cities in India and 15 cities outside India.
In the coming days, NTA will also announce the exact exam dates for when the JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam will be held. Currently, NTA has only notified the period in which the exam will be held. As per the announced dates, NTA will hold JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam between January 21 to 30, and the session 2 exams will be held between April 2 to 9.
JEE Main Exam Centres List 2026
NTA will hold the JEE Main 2026 exam in 320 exam cities across India and abroad. NTA will allot the exam centre in the city which the candidates have selected in order of their preference in the JEE Main 2026 session 1 form.
