Candidates will be able to find out their eligibility for the JEE Advanced 2025 exam by checking the cutoff scores on their JEE Main 2025 scorecard for session 2. At the bottom of the JEE main 2025 session 2 scorecard, there will be information about the category-wise cutoff scores needed to qualify for JEE Advanced 2025 based on the first paper (for engineering courses).

These cutoff scores are expressed as percentiles. If a candidate's total JEE Main 2025 percentile score is higher than the cutoff score for their specific category, they will qualify to take the JEE Advanced exam. Once eligible, they can register for JEE Advanced 2025 from April 23 to May 2, and the exam will take place on May 18, which is important for admission to IITs.
