Rajasthan students bag maximum IIT seats this year
Of the total 13,801 Rajasthan students who appeared for JEE Advanced 2022, 2,184 candidates from Rajasthan got into IITs this year. Uttar Pradesh has secured the second position with 2,131 qualifying students.
Rajasthan has once again topped the list of states in cracking Joint Entrance Exam-Advanced (JEE Advanced), a national-level entrance exam conducted by Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Of the total 13,801 Rajasthan students who appeared for JEE Advanced, 2,184 candidates from Rajasthan got into IITs this year.
Uttar Pradesh has secured the second position with 2,131 qualifying students. IIT Bombay Director Professor Subhasis Chaudhury shared the success rate of candidates from each state and Union territory in JEE Advanced on his social media account. Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh bagged the third, fourth, fifth and sixth positions, respectively, with 1,747, 1,644, 1,428, and 1,038 candidates bagging seats in 23 IITs.

As per the data shared by the IIT Bombay Director, as many as 1.59 lakh students from across the country had registered for the JEE Advanced 2022 and 16,614 of them have been allotted seats in IITs. As many as 272 foreign nationals had registered for the exam out of which 21 have been allotted seats.
