TNEA 2018 Rank List released; Keerthana Ravi bags first position
Anna University released TNEA 2018 rank list online on the official website on June 28. Keerthana Ravi from Coimbatore has bagged the first position in the rank list released by the University. She scored 1200 marks in Kerala Board examination 2017. Much to our surprise, Keerthana was never interested in Engineering and wanted to pursue BSc in Chemistry from St Stephen’s College, New Delhi. However, she got enrolled into the programme soon after her class XII board results were declared last year.
As per media reports, Keerthana applied for TNEA as she had a second thought on whether to pursue BSc or opt for Engineering. With the release of TNEA rank list, her thought is now concrete and she will be participating in the document verification and seat allotment process of TNEA.
TNEA 2018 rank list has been prepared on the basis of the candidate’s marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates will be further called for counselling process on the basis of their rank in the list. TNEA 2018 counselling is likely to commence from July.

- Navigate to “TNEA 2018” link
- Login using your registered credentials
- The details TNEA 2018 rank list will be displayed on the screen
- You can also download the same and preserve for future reference
Qualified candidates will be asked to appear for TNEA 2018 counselling process as per the schedule released by Anna University. They will be asked to submit the allotment options online and the final allotment of seats will be subjected to their rank and choice of college and course. The results for seat allotment can be viewed online on the official website of Anna University.
TNEA 2018 counselling will be held at authorized TNEA 2018 facilitation centres. A total of 42 TFCs across 32 districts have been set up to conduct TNEA counselling process.
TNEA 2018 counselling is a gateway for candidates seeking admission into the undergraduate engineering programmes offered at engineering colleges in the state. TNEA counselling is to be conducted online from this year. The counselling process involved following steps and is conducted in three phases:
Step 1: Registration and Applications
Step 2: Certificate Verification
Step 2: Counselling for seat allotment
The seat allotment process is spread over a period of 5 days. In the first three days, candidates will be asked to enter their tentative choices. The next two days will be for locking the choices. Other than the online choice filling, the same has to be submitted at the authorised TFCs in order to confirm the allotment process. Here, the aspirants will be required to make the payment of Rs 5000 as the initial deposit for admissions.
