TNEA 2025 Counselling Schedule Expected in May after Tamil Nadu Board 12th Results

The Tamil Nadu Engineerian Admission (TNEA) counselling schedule is expected to be released soon after the Tamil Nadu 12th result 2025 is announced. Tamil Nadu Board 12th result 2025 is expected to be out in May 2025. Soon after, the TNEA 2025 official website, tneaonline.org, will be updated with the TNEA 2025 schedule that will include TNEA registration dates and dates for fee payments, choice filling, allotment, and confirmation. Currently, the official website of TNEA 2025 is updated with last year's cutoff marks and ranks and reads - "Details about TNEA 2025 will be updated here shortly."
Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2025 process is a state-level centralised counselling process for admission to BE/BTech, BE (Sandwich) and MTech Computer Science and Engineering (Integrated) courses offered by the Government and Government Aided Engineering Colleges, University Departments and Constituent Colleges of Anna University, and Annamalai University. The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Chennai, conducts online TNEA counselling. Seats in participating colleges are allotted based on the class 12 marks of the candidates scaled down to 200.

The TNEA 2026 dates for the counselling process will be announced in the coming days after AICTE approval.
To be eligible to register for the TNEA counselling process, candidates have to score a minimum percentage in class 12. Candidates have to pass in the HSC (Academic: both +1 and +2) or its equivalent with a minimum average percentage as given below:
- General Category - 45%
- Backward Class including Backward Class Muslim - 40%
- MBC & DNC - 40%
- SC/SCA/ST - 40%
OR
Candidates must pass in any one of the HSC (Vocational Subject: both +1 and +2) with any one of the Engineering subjects, namely Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry, with a minimum average percentage put together as given below:
- General Category - 45%
- Backward Class including Backward Class Muslim - 40%
- MBC & DNC - 40%
- SC/SCA/ST - 40%
