TNEA 2026 Rank List on July 1; Counselling Dates Expected To Be Released on Same Day

The TNEA rank list 2026, which was scheduled to be out on June 29, will now be out on July 1. As per reports, DoTE will also release the counselling dates on July 1. Check the complete details below.

TNEA 2026 Rank List on July 1; Counselling Dates Expected To Be Released on Same Day

Higher Education Minister P. Viswanathan has announced that the TNEA rank list will be out on July 1, instead of June 29. The rank list has been delayed as the Central Board of Secondary Education declared the re-evaluation results on June 21; the release of the TNEA 2026 rank list was postponed from June 29 to July 1. Also, if there are any issues in the published rank list, a grievance redressal period will be provided from July 1 to 5.

However, the official website, tneaonline.org, still mentions the rak list release date as June 29.

The counselling dates for engineering admissions will also be announced on the same date at tneaonline.org.

How to Check TNEA 2026 Rank List

To check the TNEA ranks, candidates can follow the process below:

• Visit the official website of TNEA 2026 - tneaonline.org.
• Click on the 'Rank details' link.
• Various category wise rank list PDFs can be seen on the screen.
• Click on the category you belong to.
• The rank list will be displayed on the screen in PDF format.

The TNEA 2026 merit list will be prepared based on the total scaled marks of 200. The authority will reduce the total marks to 200 as the total marks to rank students. Maximum weightage will be from Mathematics. The rest will be shared by Physics and Chemistry as given below:

• Physics (50) + Chemistry (50) = 100
• Mathematics = 100

The TNEA 2026 counselling rounds include steps like Choice Filling, Allotment, Confirmation of Allotment, Reporting to the College/TFC and payment of fees. The dates for all these events will also be announced separately in due course on the official website after getting approval from AICTE.
