TNEA 2026 Rank List Released
The TNEA 2026 ranks have been announced today, July 1 on the official website. The seat allotment will be done based on the ranks of the candidates and the choices they filled. TNEA engineering counselling process is held for admission to BE and BTech programmes offered by government, government-aided, and self-financing engineering colleges across Tamil Nadu.

The rank list was originally scheduled to be released on June 29, but was postponed to July 1 following the announcement of revised CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation results. The extension was granted to ensure that students whose marks changed after revaluation were fairly considered during the preparation of the merit list.

How is TNEA Rank List 2026 Prepared?
The TNEA merit list is prepared by normalising Class 12 marks to a total of 200 marks, with Mathematics carrying 100 marks and Physics and Chemistry carrying 50 marks each. In cases where two or more candidates secure the same aggregate score, tie-breaking rules and the previously allotted random number are used to determine the final rank order.
Candidates have the opportunity to raise grievances or report discrepancies in their rank details before the commencement of counselling. The authorities have also released the detailed counselling schedule.

Candidates have to enter their email address and password on the TNEA login window. The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) Tamil Nadu releases TNEA application form on the official website. To apply for TNEA admissions, candidates have to pass their qualifying examination I. e. 10+2 or intermediate and meet the eligibility requirements set by the authority. Candidates who have successfully registered for admission will be allotted a random number. To participate in the TNEA 2025 counselling process, candidates have to submit the TNEA application form 2025 within the prescribed timelines and pay the required fees.
The TNEA random number is a 10 digit number allotted to the candidates randomly. It is used for tie-breaking, only if all other tie-breaking criteria fail.
