TNEA 2026 Registration LIVE Updates on Important Deadlines, Document Upload & Counselling Dates

TNEA registration 2026 LIVE: The application process for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) is closing tomorrow, June 5. Currently, the application portal is open at tneaonline.org. Post the registration deadline, candidaes will get one more day to complete the document upload process.

All candidates should upload the scanned copy of the required documnets by June 6. The certificate and document verification will commence at the TNEA facilitation centres (TFCs) from June 8, and the rank list for admission purposes will be out on June 9.

TNEA 2026 Registration Last Date and What's Next?

The TNEA 2026 application form filling deadline is June 5. After the registration window closes, candidates should follow up on the following important dates to be able to participate in the counselling rounds for admission to  BE/BTech, BE (Sandwich), and MTech Computer Science and Engineering (Integrated) courses offered by the Government and Government Aided Engineering Colleges, University Departments and Constituent Colleges of Anna University, and Annamalai University.

    Q:   Will I be able to correct the mistakes in TNEA application form at the time of counselling?
    A: 

    Candidates can edit the TNEA 2026 application form until the last date of registration. The candidate has to fill up the details in the application form and they can give their preference of TFC for online Certificates Verification. The entered details can be viewed using the login information. The applicant can edit his/her information if necessary. Verify the entries made and if all the details are found correct then submit the online application on or before the last date. Applicants will be provided with a PDF document on successful registration of application through TNEA Application Processing System.

    Q:   When will the TNEA counselling process end?
    A: 

    The TNEA 2026 counselling will end in September 2026.

    BE/B.Tech admission in Tamil Nadu is done based on the online counselling process called TNEA. There is no state-level entrance exam for admission in Tamil Nadu. Candidates have to register and appear for the online Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions TNEA counselling held every year. 10+2 passed/appearing candidates can apply for TNEA counselling. Admission will be based on marks obtained by the candidates in the relevant subjects, namely, Maths Physics and Chemistry which will be reduced to 200. TNEA 2026 counselling process includes registration, assignment of random numbers, Certificate verifications, rank list publication, and finally the counselling. The counselling rounds will include steps like Choice Filling, Allotment, Confirmation of Allotment, and Reporting to the College/TFC and payment of fees depending upon their confirmation.

    Q:   When will the TNEA general counselling start?
    A: 

    TNEA 2026 general counselling will start in July 2026 and will end in September 2026. Candidates whose names appear in the rank list will have to appear for the counselling rounds. The counselling rounds include Choice Filling, Allotment, Confirmation of Allotment, and Reporting to College/TFC and payment of fees depending upon their confirmation. The selection of candidates will be based on the marks obtained in the prescribed subjects reduced to 200 (Mathematics:100, Physics + Chemistry 100) in the qualifying examination. The marks obtained by the students in the relevant subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by various Boards or Authority shall be equated with the marks obtained by the students in the same subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by the State Board of Tamil Nadu by adopting the method of normalisation.
