TNEA 2026 Registrations Start at tneaonline.org; Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission Details Released

The Directorate of Technical Education has released the TNEA 2026 application form on May 3. The last date to complete the registrations is June 2, and the certificates can be uploaded by June 6. To participate in the TNEA 2026 counselling process, candidates have to submit the TNEA application form 2026 within the prescribed timelines.
There is no change in the counselling registration fee. The fee is INR 500 for the General Category and INR 250 for the SC/ST/SCA Category Candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu.

The application process involves TNEA 2026 registration, application fee payment, filling in academic details, and taking a printout of the filled-in application form. To be eligible for TNEA 2026, candidates have to pass the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 or intermediate, and other eligibility criteria as prescribed by the authority.
Candidates who have successfully registered for admission will be allotted a random number on June 5. After signing in, the candidates can also view their Random Numbers.
TNEA 2026 Counselling Process
The entire Counseling procedure consists of various steps as given below:

- Certificates Verification through online
- Rank Publication (by TNEA Authority)
- Exercising the choices of institutions and Branches

- Payment of Fees based on the allotment option

The online registrations for TNEA 2026 has started. The TNEA counselling process includes several steps: candidate registration, certificate upload, allotment of random numbers, verification, release of the rank list, choice filling, seat allotment, confirmation of allotment, reporting to the College/TFC, and payment of fees. All of these steps are conducted online, except for the certificate verification, which must be done at the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions Facilitation Centre (TFC).
To apply for TNEA 2026, candidates have to meet the below requirements: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates). They should have passed the 10+2 exam from Tamil Nadu board or any equivalent board. They must have cleared any one of the HSC (Vocational Subject) with one of the Engineering related subjects namely Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry. Apart from that, they following requirements must be also met: Tamil Nadu candidates who have passed their Class VIII to Class XII standard in Tamil Nadu. Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years at the time of TNEA application form submission. Sons/daughters of All India Service Tamil Nadu cadre officers. Children of employees in the Public Sector or Government recognised institutions who at the time of TNEA 2026 application form submission had been working in their organisations for the past five years are also eligible to apply, irrespective of their domicile. Other state candidates who have studied from Class VIII to Class XII in Tamil Nadu can also apply for TNEA 2026. Tamil Nadu native candidates who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI and XII standards or their equivalent examinations from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply for TNEA.
