The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu, will release the TNEA 2026 counselling round 1 seat allotment tomorrow, July 24 on the official website - tneaonline.org. Know all details below.
Candidates who have participated in the first round of the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2026 counselling process will be able to check their allotment status by logging in with their registered email ID and password.
The Round 1 seat allotment will be announced based on the candidates' rank, category, preferences filled during choice filling, seat availability, and reservation norms. Candidates allotted a seat must complete the admission process within the prescribed deadline to confirm their allotment.

Candidates can follow the steps below to download the TNEA 2026 Round 1 allotment result:

View your allotted college and branch.
- Choose from the various confirmation options available.

Download the allotment letter and proceed with fee payment.
What After TNEA 2026 Round 1 Seat Allotment?
After the seat allotment is declared, candidates will have to log in and choose one of the available options within the stipulated deadline.
Accept and Join
- You like the allotted seat.
- Download the allotment order.
- Report directly to the college and pay fees to secure admission.
- Skipping this cancels your seat and removes you from counselling.
Accept and Upward
- You accept the seat but want a higher-preference choice if it opens up.
- Report to a TFC and pay fees to lock this seat as your safety net.
- If a higher choice opens, you get it; if not, you keep your original seat.
- Skipping TFC reporting removes you from counselling.
Decline and Upward
- You reject the allotted seat.
- You choose to wait for higher-preference choices to open up.
- If no higher choices open, you move down to the next round of counselling.
Decline and Move to Next Round
- You reject the allotted seat.
- You do not want to try for upward movement in this round.
- You opt to start fresh in the next round of counselling.
Decline and Quit
- You reject the allotted seat.
- You exit the entire TNEA counselling process completely.
Upward or Move to Next Round
- Shown only if you got no seat from your choice list.
- You opt to wait for any vacancy to open up in your choices.
- If still no seat opens, you automatically move to the next round.
