Top 500 BITSAT 2026 Rankers Eligible for Tuition Blind Admissions for Four Year Scholarship
BITS Pilani introduces tuition blind admissions from AY 2026-27 for the top 500 BITSAT rankers. As per this, eligible students with family income up to ₹20 lakh will get a full tuition fee scholarship for four years.
BITS Pilani has announced a major change in its admission process. The institute has introduced tuition-blind admissions for the top 500 rank holders of BITSAT from the academic year 2026-27. In a statement released on February 19, 2026, BITS Pilani said that students who secure a place among the top 500 in BITSAT and have an annual family income of up to ₹20 lakh will receive a full tuition fee scholarship for all four years of their degree. Students must maintain a minimum CGPA of 7.5 at their campus to continue getting the benefit.

The institute clarified that this is not a scholarship that students need to apply for after admission. The full tuition support will be part of the admission process itself.
Prof. V. Ramgopal Rao, Group Vice Chancellor of BITS Pilani, said this move is a defining step in the institute’s 60-year journey. He added that if a student has the talent, money should not become a barrier, and the institute will work every year to expand this support further. In the last year alone, the institute gave ₹132 crore in merit and merit-cum-need scholarships. Around one in four students across its campuses received some form of financial help.
The new tuition-blind policy has been made possible due to strong support from alumni and continued investment by the institute. Over the next few years, BITS plans to increase the number of students covered under this model. Its long-term aim is to move towards tuition-blind admissions for all students.
