UGCET 2026: KEA Extends Deadline for SC Internal Reservation Certificate
KEA extends the document upload window for UGCET 2026 SC internal reservation certificates. Candidates must update their sub-category records before the first-round option entry closes to prevent automated seat allotment rejection.
Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) Executive Director, H. Prasanna, has provided a clarification regarding submission of new Scheduled Caste (SC) internal reservation certificates for KCET 2026 candidates.
Addressing the growing anxiety for students and parents, KEA confirmed that candidates still have an extended window to upload their updated documents. Students can view complete media addresses directly via the TV9 Kannada YouTube Broadcast.

The seat allotment software cannot process standard "SC" category claims anymore. Seats are categorized under newly implemented SC-A, SC-B, and SC-C sub-categories. Failing to update the certificate will result in software rejection during seat allotment.

KEA has already provided an initial 15 days for issuing caste certificates, candidates will receive an additional 10 to 12 days to alter and finalise their details even after the Mock Result publication.
Students can modify their applications and download verification slips up until last date of first-round option entry. No documents or category changes will be accepted once the first-round results are officially published.
Executive Director H. Prasanna urged students to make necessary effort to obtain these certificates immediately. Since SC caste certificates act as permanent records, this document will remain vital for all future educational and central/state employment opportunities.
