Factors on which UPTAC counselling cutoff depends on are:

• Previous years cutoff trend. 
• The number of candidates applied for admission. 
• The difficulty level of the qualifying exam.

Look out for GL Bajaj, ABES, or Galgotias. Candidates have high chances of getting admission to popular branches like CSE specialisations, Machine Learning, or Data Science. 

Getting CSE in top AKTU Government Colleges might not be possible. However, candidates can still look out for:

1. Freeze: A candidate who chooses to "freeze" accepts the seat and does not want to participate in further rounds of seat allotment. In case of 'freeze' of the allotted seat, the candidate will not be included in the next stages of counselling for the upgradation of the seat, but the category of their allotted seat can be upgraded/changed in the next stage.
2. Float: A candidate who chooses to "float" keeps their allocated seat but remains eligible for further rounds of counselling. Candidates who choose the "float" option are considered for upgradation.

 Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) was scheduled to announce the UPTAC Round 3 seat allotment on July 30. However, the allotment stands delayed. 

Candidates can check the steps below to access their seat allotment result in UPTAC counselling 2026:

1. Visit the official website for UPTAC counselling - uptac.admissions.nic.in.
2. On the home page, look for the seat allotment link.
3. Access the seat allotment link and log in using registration number/registered email and password
4. Under the login, candidates can check their allotted college and course.

• Go to uptac.samarth.edu.in
• Click “eServices” then “OR‑CR”.
• Choose desired round and programme.
• Select your category and submit.
• Download the displayed opening and closing rank list.

Log in to uptac.samarth.edu.in, view your allotted seat details, print the confirmation, and take it along when you report to the official college.

Log in to uptac.samarth.edu.in, view the seat allocation result and note the institute and course assigned to you after the automatic merit‑based allotment.

The seat allocation result appears on the official portal uptac.samarth.edu.in. Log in with your credentials and the result will be displayed under your personal dashboard.

• Seat‑acceptance fee not paid → you are disqualified from UPTAC 2026 counselling.
• Disqualification means you cannot take part in any further counselling round.

The decision between Freeze and Float depends on your admission preference. Candidates satisfied with their allotted institute and branch can Freeze the seat. Those expecting a better option in later rounds should choose Float while completing the seat acceptance process.

To lock the allotted seat you must pay the seat‑acceptance fee. If the fee isn’t paid, the seat is forfeited and you’re barred from further counselling rounds.

Candidates facing payment failure while paying the seat acceptance fee should first verify whether the amount has been deducted. If the payment remains unsuccessful, they should retry using the counselling portal before the deadline.

Candidates will require:

• Registration Number or Registered Email ID

Candidates allotted a seat in UPTAC round 3 must complete the seat acceptance fee payment before the last date. Failure to pay the prescribed fee will be treated as non-acceptance of the allotted seat, and the candidate may lose the allotment and become ineligible for further consideration as per the counselling rules.

With the end of round 3 choice filling, the opportunity to add, delete, or alter the choices has been closed. The candidates are not going to get choice alteration ooportunity any more in the counselling round.
