Want to Appear in Both MHT CET 2026 and BITSAT Despite Exam Clash? Here’s What To Do
MHT CET 2026 exam date for PCM is April 11 to 20, for the first attempt. The BITSAT 2026 session 1 exam is scheduled for April 15 and 16. This puts engineering aspirants in a tough spot as many face exam clashes. If you are also facing a similar situation, here's what you can do.
Since the MHT CET 2026 and BITSAT 2026 exam dates overlap, many students are worried about how they can appear for both tests. The BITS authorities conducted the BITSAT slot booking from March 29 to 31. Through the slot booking process, students were able to choose their preferred exam date and timings without knowing their MHT CET exam dates.
The CET Cell released the MHT CET admit cards on April 7, confirming the dates and time slots for the PCM students. Many students now realise that their MHT CET & BITSAT exam dates overlap. Some students are considering appearing for only one test while leaving the other. However, there are a few options students can explore if they want to try for both exams.

Can You Change Your Exam Date?
The CET Cell randomly allocates the MHT CET exam dates based on availability. Candidates get the option to choose their BITSAT 2026 exam date through the slot booking. However, this time, students had no idea of their allotted exam date for MHT CET 2026 while booking their slots for BITSAT. Now that the MHT CET admit card have been released, students find an overlap. Note that there is no option for students to change their exam dates now.
What To Do Now?
- • Reach out to exam authorities: If both exams fall on the same day, get in touch with the official helplines of BITSAT or the Maharashtra State CET Cell. Informing them about your situation can help you explore possible solutions.
• Opt for the BITSAT absentee slot: BITSAT also offers an absentee slot for students who miss their exam due to valid reasons. In case of a clash with another entrance exam, you can take the test in this slot. The dates will be announced later, and you will need to register separately to receive a new hall ticket for the revised schedule.
