West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has not yet made any official announcement regarding the delay in the WBJEE 2025 result announcement. The uncertainty in the WBJEE 2025 result date has created a wave of anxiety among students, who are waiting to know their scores so that they can plan their admission. Due to the ongoing OBC quota issue, the authorities have delayed the WBJEE result 2025; however, there is still no clarity on when it will be available.

WBJEE 2025 Result after July 31?

The Calcutta High Court has ordered an interim stay on the West Bengal government’s decision regarding OBC quota on July 17, 2025. PTI has reported, “A division bench comprising Justices Tapabrata Chakraborty and Rajasekhar Mantha, in an interim order valid until July 31, directed that executive notifications issued between May 8 and June 13 concerning the Other Backwards Classes (OBC) categories will not be implemented until that date.”

Since the authorities have directed that no implementation can be done until July 31, 2025, there are chances that the WBJEE results and counselling will be announced/held on or after that date.

WBJEE 2025 Result: Students anxious over college decisions

Many students have expressed their concern about their college decisions due to the prolonged delay in the WBJEE result 2025. As JoSAA counselling is currently ongoing, students who have taken a precautionary seat in the allotment may lose their pre-acceptance fee if the WBJEE results are announced on or after July 31, 2025, and they wish to take admission in a state-level college.

One Reddit user states, “If this does not happen, it will be a massive issue as people who have taken a seat through JoSAA as a precaution will not be able to join a college through WBJEE without having wasted 30K rupees as the window of refund of JoSAA pre-acceptance fee ends with last round. Even if someone is ready is to waste 30K, many college seats will be necessarily occupied this way, which will lead to less seats available for those who actually want to get into NITs and stuff.”
