WBJEE 2026 counselling dates will be announced after results are declared. All qualified candidates have to register for WBJEE counselling 2026 to be eligible for admissions into BTech courses offered by participating institutes. To be registered, they will have to go to official website and login with WBJEE application number and password. All required information have to be provided in WBJEE counselling form. Candidates will have to select courses and colleges in order of preference. WBJEE 2026 counselling registration fee has to be paid through credit card, debit card or net banking.
WBJEE 2026 seat allotment result will be released online. Allotment of seats will be done based on candidate's rank, order of preferences and seat availability. After seat allotment, candidates will have to confirm allotment before final date. Confirmation of seat allotment can be done by paying admission fee and verifying documents. If they do not confirm admission before last date, then allotment will be cancelled.

Yes, there a self-financing institutes included in the WBJEE counselling process. In the self-financing institutes, the 10% approved seats will be open for JEE Main qualified candidates. These students do not require WBJEE scores for admission.
Students with valid JEE Main scores can apply for admissions through WBJEE counselling. However, these students will be eligible for allotment only in 10% approved seats offered by self financing colleges and institutes participating in state level counselling.

If two or more students have same WBJEE score, then tie breaking guidelines will be followed. Student who has an lesser negative marks in PCM will be given a higher rank. If tie is not broken, then guideline will be followed step by step.
WBJEE merit list will be prepared to allot ranks to students who have qualified exam. Scores will be used to prepare merit list. There will be two merit lists, General Merit Rank List and Pharmacy Merit Rank List.
If the students appear for just WBJEE Paper 1 (Mathematics), they will not be allotted any rank. These students will not be considered eligible for admissions. For allotment, the students will have to attempt both Paper 1 and 2 of WBJEE.
The second round of WBJEE counselling is held to upgrade the registered candidates or freshly allot the ones who were not allotted in the first round. Only these candidates will be able to participate in the second counselling round, since fresh registrations will not be accepted.
