WBJEE 2026 Counselling Process
WBJEE 2026 counselling process will be held online. Candidates can follow the given steps to participate in the WBJEE counselling and admission process.
- First, the candidates will have to register for the WBJEE counselling process at the official website wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee. To register, the candidates will have to log in using their roll number and password.
- After logging in, the candidates will have to pay the WBJEE 2026 counselling fee (non refundable) of INR 500. The fee payment has to be done online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. Without the fee payment, the candidates will not be able to proceed further in the counselling process.
- Next, the candidates will have to fill out their choice of colleges and courses. It is important to select the courses and colleges in order of preference, since it will be considered for allotment. Candidates are advised to select as many choices as possible for higher chances of allotment into preferences.
- The authorities will announce the WBJEE 2026 seat allotment online at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's rank and preferences. No other mode will be used to declare the allotment result. Once allotted, the candidates will have to confirm their admission before the final date by paying the seat acceptance fee and reporting to their respective institute for document verification.
WBJEE 2026 Seat Acceptance Fee
To download the seat allotment letter, the candidates will have to pay the WBJEE 2026 seat acceptance fee of INR 5000. The fee has to be paid online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI. It is to be noted that the WBJEE seat acceptance fee will be refundable if the candidates withdraw their admission in the second round. If the candidates fail to meet the requirements for a refund, then their seat acceptance fee will not be refunded.

WBJEE 2026 Counselling - Round 2
The second round of WBJEE 2026 counselling will be an upgradation round. Candidates who chose upgradation, or were not allotted in the first round will be eligible for the second counselling round. No new registrations or choice filling will be accepted for the second round. Candidates who were allotted their first choice in the first round of WBJEE counselling will also not be considered eligible for the second round. WBJEE 2026 Round 2 seat allotment result will be announced online. If the candidates are upgraded, ten they can confirm their allotment. However, if the candidates are not allotted their higher preference, then they will be able to go back to their previous round allotment.

Yes. Students with valid JEE Main scores can apply for admissions through the WBJEE counselling. However, these students will be eligible for allotment only in the 10% approved seats offered by the self-financing colleges and institutes participating in the state-level counselling.
If the students have not been allotted their higher preference in the second round of WBJEE counselling, then they can go back to their previously allotted seat. However, if they have been given their higher preference, then their previous seat will be automatically cancelled.
After the seats are allotted, the students will have to pay the seat acceptance fee of INR 5000 online to download their allotment letter. Next, they will have to report to their respective college to for document verification and tuition fee payment.
