West Bengal has announced the list of classes eligible for OBC reservation. Candidates applying for WBJEE 2026 can now login to update their OBC status at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee. Read to know about WBJEE 2026 OBC status, list of eligible classes and more.

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has announced that candidates can now access online facility to update their OBC status, according to the official notification released by the state government. Candidates can now access the online facility at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee. To declare the OBC class, they will have to log in using their application number, roll number and date of birth. 

As per the latest notice, 66 classes have been identified to avail 7% reservation in all services and posts under the Government of West Bengal. The previous reservation percentage has been struck down.

Who are eligible for WBJEE OBC status?

Candidates who have mere possession of paternal OBC certificate does not automatically confer entitlement to OBC reservation benefits. Only those candidates belonging to Non-Creamy Layer and possess a valid OBC-NCL certificate issued  by the competent authority will be eligible.

If candidates are unable to produce a valid OBC-NCL certificate during verification, then they will not be eligible for reservation and will be treated as General Category.
