Will VITEEE 2021 be postponed? Read to know more.

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is scheduled to conduct VITEEE 2021 from June 18 to 26 as a computer-based test. Currently, VITEEE 2021 registration process is open and candidates who wish to participate in the entrance exam are able to apply and submit the application form. The official last date to submit the VITEEE 2021 application form has not yet been announced by the authorities.

However, amidst the rising COVID-19 cases all over the countries, the Government and Education Boards have started cancelling or postponing entrance examination. After witnessing the growing number of active COVID-19 cases, CBSE 10^th Board exams have been cancelled and 12^th Board exams have been postponed. The postponement of the Board exams has also led to the postponement of NEET PG 2021.

Because of the current situation, there are high chances that VITEEE 2021 will also be postponed. Since many states are closing down public spaces and restricting movements, VIT might have to postpone the entrance examination or take admissions based on JEE Main scores. In case the authorities decide to postpone VITEEE 2021, the notification will be released on the official website.

VITEEE is conducted every year to provide BTech admissions into the various campuses of the institute. However, in the previous year, VITEEE was cancelled and admissions were taken on the basis of JEE Main scores, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
