The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts will launch its Leela Leadership Development Programme (LLDP) for the Class of 2026 in New Delhi, with the 15-month program commencing this month. Designed to groom future hospitality leaders, the program offers specialized training in luxury hospitality management, combining practical experience with academic modules in collaboration with the Indian School of Hospitality (ISH) and Les Roches.

The LLDP attracted over 1,400 applications nationwide, with 36 exceptional candidates selected through a rigorous multi-stage process. The program provides immersive on-the-job training, functional exposure, and global classroom learning to prepare participants for managerial roles, including future general manager positions within The Leela. Eligible candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in hospitality and at least one year of luxury hotel experience.

The commencement ceremony, held at The Leela Palace New Delhi, featured a Ganesh Vandana performance by Sarvam Shakti NGO, inspiring talks from senior leadership, and a lively rapid-fire session with the new cohort, highlighting their passion for luxury hospitality. Anuraag Bhatnagar, CEO of The Leela, emphasized the program’s role in nurturing talent to uphold the brand’s legacy of Indian luxury. Dilip Puri, Founder & CEO of ISH, and Joy Dev Chatterjee, LLDP Programme Director, also shared insights on the initiative’s vision.
