Chandigarh University organised its 8th CU Online Annual Convocation where 363 degrees were awarded. The university also signed an MoU with PwC to launch an Online MBA programme. With this collaboration, Chandigarh University claims to have become the first university in India to launch such a programme in partnership with PwC.

Chandigarh University organised its 8th CU Online Annual Convocation, where 363 degrees were awarded. The university also signed an MoU with PwC to launch an Online MBA programme. 

CU Convocation

Chandigarh University has conducted its 8th Annual Convocation of CU Online and the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE). A total of 363 students were awarded degree from 19 states and UT in India. Students, parents, faculty members, and university officials joined through online and distance learning modes. A total of 214 male students and 149 were female students. The university awarded 330 PG degress and 33 UG degrees across various programmes. 

363 Students Receive Degrees at CU Online Convocation

  • 210 students received MBA degrees 
  • 78 students earned MCA degree 
  • 23 students completed MSc Data Science 
  • 9 students received MSc Mathematics degrees 
  • 5 students earned MA English degrees 
  • 3 students received MA Journalism and Mass Communication degrees 
  • 2 students earned MA Economics degrees  
UG Programme Highlights
  • 19 students received BBA degrees 
  • 12 students earned BCA degrees 
  • 2 students received BA Journalism and Mass Communication degrees

Chandigarh University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PwC India to offer an Online MBA programme. The MoU between Chandigarh University and PwC India aims to offer an Online MBA programme suitable for all. Students will get industry learning and business understanding with online MBA programme. 

Speaking at the event, Sanjeev Parkar, Senior Director at PwC India, said emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence will create new opportunities for skilled professionals. He emphasised the importance of universities and industries working together to prepare students for future careers.
