The Centre for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences (CPRS), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with three physiotherapy and rehabilitation institutions in order to enhance physiotherapy research and training.

Three organisations, namely Manovikas Charitable Society in Krishna Nagar, Delhi; the National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (NILD), Kolkata; and the Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities, New Delhi, will help CPRS to foster interdisciplinary excellence in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation sciences by integrating evidence-based research, clinical training, and global academic partnerships.

Dr. Lalit Narayan, the Director of the National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (NILD); Dr. Alok Bhuwan, the Director of the Manovikas Charitable Society; and Dr. Jitendra Sharma, the Director of the Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities executed the understanding on behalf of their individual institutions.

The basic objective of the MoU is to promote expertise in the fields of physiotherapy and rehabilitation sciences by combining clinical training, evidence-based research, and global academic relationships. Through these MoUs, the Centre for Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Sciences aims to strengthen the connection between theory and practical implementation, creating opportunities for meaningful academic exchange and collaborative study, to promote excellent in quality research and clinical developments in key areas such as sleep, pain, cardiopulmonary, orthopaedic, neurological, paediatric, and athletic rehabilitation.
