494 PhD degrees will be awarded to research scholars, comprising 248 male and 246 female candidates.

The University of Delhi (DU) will hold its 101st annual convocation on February 22, 2025. This year, the university will confer a total of 84,287 degrees, including 77,446 undergraduate (UG) degrees, 6,812 postgraduate (PG) degrees, and 29 five-year programme degrees.

Additionally, 494 PhD degrees will be awarded to research scholars, comprising 248 male and 246 female candidates.

The convocation ceremony will be attended by Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan as the chief guest. Students who completed their studies in 2024 will receive their degrees during the ceremony.

Medals and Prizes to be Awarded

DU will also present a total of 194 medals and prizes to outstanding UG and PG students. These include:

  • 159 Gold Medals (70 for UG students, 89 for PG students)
  • 1 Silver Medal (awarded to a UG student)
  • 34 Prizes (22 for UG students, 12 for PG students)

The degrees will be awarded to both regular students and students from the Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB). The category-wise distribution is as follows:
