Shiksha.com recently conducted a poll that provides fascinating details about the everyday study routines of CLAT 2026 candidates. The research shows that 46% of applicants are putting in at least two hours a day to prepare.  In the meantime, 23% devote 4 hours a day to studying, and a dedicated 17% put in over 6 hours to increase their chances of earning a top ranking.

The increased competition for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), a national entrance exam for admission to undergraduate and graduate law programs provided by 24 National Law Universities (NLUs) throughout Country, is reflecting the growing interest of candidates to pursue law.

CLAT 2026 Exam Pattern (UG)

The CLAT UG paper, according to the Consortium of NLUs, is a 120-mark exam that consists of five components that assess important legal aptitude skills:

 One mark is awarded for each question, and 0.25 points are subtracted for each incorrect response.  The exam lasts two hours and is administered offline (pen-paper mode).
