Breaking News! CLAT 2026 Result To Be Revised, New Counselling Schedule To Be OUT Soon
The Consortium of NLUs has announced that the CLAT Result 2026 will be revised, likely along with the CLAT UG 2026 Answer Key, following the Allahabad High Court order. CLAT Third Merit List 2026 has also been postponed until further notice.
On February 3, 2026, the Allahabad HC directed the Consortium to revise the CLAT UG 2026 Final Answer Key, which was published on December 16, 2025. CLAT 2026 Exam was held on December 7, 2026.
The Executive Committee of the Consortium of NLUs has decided to prefer a Special Appeal before the Hon’ble Division Bench of the Allahabad High Court, challenging the above judgment. The Consortium has reiterated its position in support of the Final Answer Key for CLAT UG 2026, as previously notified.
Allahabad HC Orders Revision of CLAT 2026 Merit List
The Court has ordered that Question No. 9 of Booklet C be re-evaluated by treating both options ‘B’ and ‘D’ as correct answers. The revised CLAT Score 2026 shall not affect candidates who have already been allotted seats in Round 1 of CLAT UG 2026 counselling.
Impact on CLAT UG 2026 Counselling
Due to the ongoing legal proceedings, the Consortium has announced the following changes
- The 3rd CLAT UG 2026 Seat Allotment List, scheduled for release on February 5, 2026, has been deferred until further notice.
- A fresh counselling calendar will be announced after the outcome of the Special Appeal.
- The Consortium has assured that no seats allotted in Rounds 1 and 2 of CLAT UG 2026 counselling, which are already concluded, will be impacted. All necessary legal safeguards will be taken to protect the interests of admitted students.
The Consortium also clarified that it will continue to defend the existing Final Answer Key to ensure that it remains unchanged for future rounds of counselling, subject to judicial outcome.
