The Consortium of NLUs, in an official notification, announced that the CLAT Fourth Merit List 2026 will be released on May 9, 2026 at 2 pm. As per the new schedule, candidates will be able to make the fee payment to confirm their seat until May 14, 2026 (2 pm). The Consortium has also issued the clarification that no changes will be made in the seats allotted in previous rounds.

 The announcement was made after the Allahabad High Court set aside an earlier direction by a single judge to revise the CLAT 2026 merit list, holding that no interference was warranted with the final answer key prepared by the Consortium of National Law Universities.

Candidates must note that the CLAT Fifth and final allotment list will be published on May 20, 2026. Candidates who have not taken seat in any of the NLUs yet and choose float option in earlier round can participate in upcoming counselling rounds.
