The Mangalore University authorities and Dakshina Kannada district administration have decided to begin the pending undergraduate and postgraduate examinations from August 11.

The timetable is expected to be announced by Friday and all exams will be conducted while strictly following the safety guidelines for Covid-19.

This decision was taken on Thursday when MU registrar (evaluation) P L Dharma and registrar Kishore C K met DC KV Rajendra. The autonomous college representatives, joint director of collegiate education, and student union representatives were all present in this meeting.

The colleges have been instructed that they cannot insist on collecting exam fees while issuing hall tickets. However, the colleges can collect the fees when the students leave the college.

Mangalore University has decided to hold special exams for students who are suffering from Covid-19, or are from other districts like Maharashtra and Kerala and cannot attend exams due to transportation issues.
