CAT 2024 registration
CAT 2024 registration and application process is all set to begin from August 1, 2024. The announcement of CAT exam date and registration commencement was made by IIM Calcutta on June 28, 2024. The CAT 2024 application form will be available at the iimcat.ac.in website through login. Candidates interested in appearing for CAT 2024 will have to fill the form before the deadline.
This year, the CAT application fee has been increased again. For the General category candidate, the fee hike is INR 100 and for Reserved category students, the fee hike is INR 50. The fee is to be paid at the time of CAT 2024 form submission. Candidates must note that their form will not be accepted if the fee is not paid before the deadline.

CAT 2024 Registration and Application Process
CAT 2024 application form will be available in online mode only. Given below is the process to apply for CAT exam:
- Open the official CAT website iimcat.ac.in
- Click on 'Register' tab under 'New Candidate Registration' tab
- Enter name, date of birth, email ID, mobile phone number and nationality
- Click on 'Generate OTP' tab
- An OTP will be sent on the registered mobile number
- Use the OTP to verify CAT 2024 registration
- Add personal details, academic details and work experience
- Select IIMs and courses
- Select CAT test city preference
- Pay CAT fee to complete the process

Yes, candidates can fill out the CAT application form on one day and pay the fee on another day, as it is not mandatory to register for the CAT exam, fill out the application form, or pay the fee in one go. The registration and application window will remain open for candidates who have registered for the exam and created an ID until the last date of form submission. The applicant can log in and check/fill/edit the CAT application form anytime during the form-filling period. Only the phone number and email ID will not be editable once registration is complete. However, candidates need to submit the CAT form and application fee before the deadline to be eligible to appear for the exam. The CAT application form will not be submitted until the fee payment is completed. The fee can be paid via debit card, credit card, net banking, and UPI wallet.
