IIM Ahemdabad PGPX batch 2020 records highest salary till date

The final placement drive for the Class of 2020 of the one year MBA programme got over in July-end and the final placement report was audited by an external agency and finalized on September 2, 2020.

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has announced that this year it has received the highest offers ever for the class of 2020 full-time postgraduate programme in management for executives (PGPX). This year the highest salary jumped to Rs 81 lakh per annum from Rs 60 lakh pa last year. The average salary went up to Rs 33 lakh per annum this year from Rs 30 lakh per annum. The batch received 120 offers and those students who had lost job offers due to the coronavirus outbreak have also got comparable offers, said the placement head at the institute.

The final placement drive for the Class of 2020 of the one year MBA programme got over in July-end and the final placement report was audited by an external agency and finalized on September 2, 2020.

The graduating students received offers from companies across sectors such as consulting, BFSI, conglomerates, FMCG, e-commerce, technology, IT and ITES, energy, logistics, pharma, and manufacturing. The participants of the 14^th batch of PGPX came from different backgrounds with rich experience ranging from 4 to 16 years. Recruiters visited campus to select candidates for their mid-senior and senior-level management positions.

“This year, we have received the highest offers ever for the PGPX batch and even the average salary is the highest,” Amit Karna, Chairpersons of the placement committee, IIM Ahmedabad.

A total of 130 firms in the campus placement drive, offering over 300 roles to PGPX graduates. Information Technology firms formed the largest sector of offers with 42 accepted offers, followed by Online Services, Consulting and BFSI.
