Section-Wise NMAT Important Topics 2025

Quantitative Skills: As per the NMAT exam analysis from the past exam sessions, Quantitative Aptitude section is becoming tougher every year. However, candidates still find the Quant section of NMAT easier than the CAT. Out of 36 questions in Quantitative Skills section, 12-15 questions are from Data Interpretation. These questions are time-consuming as well as calculation-intensive. Candidates having a strong hold on topics like Percentage, Ratio, and Averages, find the DI part on the easier side. Besides DI, Geometry has 2-3 questions every year.

Language Skills: This section is different from VARC of CAT exam. Maximum weightage in Language Skills is distributed across Vocabulary, Sentence Correction, along with Idiom and Phrases. Candidates can use the book Word Power Made Easy to cover most of this section. Questions from Analogies appear in every NMAT exam. Reading Comprehension is also important as it accounts to more than one question.
