CAT 2025 is five months away. Aspirants who are planning to appear for the exam have to start the preparation at the soonest as the CAT syllabus is vast and competition is high. Shiksha asked some aspirants, when will they start CAT 2025 preparation. Out of the total respondents, 30 percent said they have already started CAT preparation 2025, while 12 percent said, they will start in August. The major percentage of candidates said, they will start CAT 2025 preparation this month (July). Which means a good percentage of aspirants are confident of completing the CAT exam preparation in 5 months. And 12 percent are confident of completing CAT exam preparation in four months.

CAT 2025 exam date is November 30, 2025. This year, IIM Kozhikode will be conducting the exam. The official notification of CAT 2025 will be released by July 25-27, 2025 and complete details will be available then. CAT registration 2025 will start in the first week of August at iimcat.ac.in website.
When to Start CAT Preparation 2025?
Candidates who are planning to appear for the exam, must not delay preparations anymore as a minimum of 6 months is required for CAT preparation, even for those who are not first timers.
So, get hold of CAT books and study material to start preparation. Check the CAT exam syllabus and make a time table for completing all the topics extensively and by mid-September. From October onwards practice CAT mock tests so that you are ready for CAT 2025 by November 30.

For PwD candidates, facilities in CAT exam include, relaxation of marks in graduation. The minimum score required by PwD candidate in graduation for appearing in CAT exam is 45 per cent aggregate. Apart from that, such candidates are provided scribe service at the exam centre. To avail the service such candidates have to fill the relevant form during registration process.
