The clarification regarding the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET), conducted by AIIMS Delhi came under scrutiny over allegations of a paper leak in the preliminary examination or Stage I.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has issued a clarification regarding reports of a paper leak in the NORCET‑9 examination, terming such news reports as ‘incorrect’. Stage II of the NORCET‑9 examination is scheduled for September 27, 2025, while Stage I results have already been declared.

According to an official press release issued by the institute, the content circulating online consisted of memory-based questions shared by candidates, a routine post-exam practice, and does not constitute a leak.

“An internal AIIMS committee has confirmed that the integrity of the examination was fully preserved, with no malpractice or undue advantage to any candidate. Stage II of the examination is scheduled for 27 September 2025, while Stage I results have already been declared,” reads a statement by AIIMS, New Delhi.

The statement by AIIMS further states that the institute remains committed to conducting fair, transparent, and merit-based examinations for all aspirants.

The clarification regarding the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET), conducted by AIIMS Delhi came under scrutiny over allegations of a paper leak in the preliminary examination or Stage I. Some of the candidates took to social media and alleged that the question papers were circulating on social media prior to the exam and incidentally many of the questions that appeared in the exam were same.

Similar controversy of paper leak happened during NORCET‑4 in 2023, when alleged leaks prompted AIIMS to form committees and involve investigative agencies.

Yes, AIIMS Delhi has 21 hostel buildings located at the Ansari Nagar campus, Masjid Moth campus, Raj Nagar and Ayurvigyan Nagar. All these hostel buildings have an overall capacity of about 2,717 seats and majority of this accommodation is for a single student/ residents/ married students or families. The hostel facility of AIIMS Delhi, other than the residential building, provides a mess, a canteen, a juice shop and an Amul shop, etc., for the convenience of the students.

The college has single, double or triple occupancy rooms along with family rooms for married students. Most single rooms are furnished with a bed, a cupboard, a table and chair and a bookshelf. The married accommodation is also furnished accordingly. The hostel rooms also have a facility of attached washrooms but this facility is only accessible in married accommodation along with a few hostels. In general, shared washrooms and bathrooms are available for the students.
