NEET UG 2026

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET UG) on May 3, 2026. Every year, over 20 lakh students register for the national-level entrance exam conducted by NTA for admission to undergraduate medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, and other allied programs.

Reportedly, this year NEET 2026 registration numbers have broken all the previous years' records. As per the media sources, over 26 lakh students are expected to appear in NEET UG 2026

The NEET UG 2026 registration has increased from 16.14 lakh to 22.76 lakh from 2020 to 2025. This year, the number has likely broken all the previous year records for NEET UG registrations. Although the final NEET 2026 registration statistics will be released in a later stage, early stats suggest that the number of applicants this year might have crossed the 26 lakh mark.
