The CET Cell Maharashtra, the counselling authority for the Medical courses of the state has released the schedule for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for MBBS and BDS courses. The first round was conducted from August 17 to September 5, 2024. The second round will be conducted from September 25 to October 4, 2024, and the third round will be conducted from October 9 to October 23, 2024.

Candidates who have been allotted seats in the Maharashtra NEET 2024 counselling Round 1 can resign by September 25, 2024, Here we bring the complete schedule for the second and third rounds of the Maharashtra NEET 2024 counselling.

Eligibility Criteria for Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2024 Round 3

CET Cell Maharashtra has stated the criteria which are not eligible for participating in Round 3 of Maharashtra NEET 2024 Counselling.

  • Candidates who have joined a seat upto Round 2 and have filled the Status Retention Form
  • Candidates who have joined a seat in Round 1, Round 2 or Round 3 of the All India NEET 2024 counselling

CET Cell Maharashtra mentions, “If the admission gets cancelled due to any reason upto Round 2, e.g. in case the candidate gives wrong information at the time of registration on the basis of which a seat may be allotted and later cancelled by the admission authorities at the time of reporting or fails to produce the required documents at the time of admission. will have to register again as per schedule to be able to participate in Round 3.”

The institute reporting process for the AYUSH and Paramedical courses is underway and will conclude on September 18, 2024.

Q:   What is the schedule of Maharashtra NEET counselling for this year?
A:

The schedule for the Maharashtra NEET 2025 counselling has been announced by the CET Cell Maharashtra. Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2025 Round 1 of the MBBS and BDS courses was conducted from August 4 to August 22, 2025. Round 2 was scheduled from September 19 to September 29, 2025. The Group B (AYUSH) and Group C (Medical Allied) courses counselling process for the first two rounds is scheduled from September 1 to October 17, 2025. Round 4 was scheduled from November 11 to November 17, 2025. 

Q:   What is the minimum rank required to get an MBBS seat through Maharashtra NEET counselling?
A:

A General category student must secure an AIR rank of 50,000 or above to get an MBBS seat in a good college. Candidates must note that this is a predictive cutoff rank and not an absolute data. The actual cutoff data or rank will be relesed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) after the conclusion of the counselling process for Maharashtra NEET. 

Q:   When will Maharashtra NEET UG 2025 counselling be conducted?
A:

The Maharashtra NEET UG 2025 counselling has begun on July 23, 2025, with the registration process. Round 4, or the Online Stray Vacancy Round is being conducted from November 12 to November 17, 2025. Round 2 and Round 3 were conducted between August and October 2025. CET Cell Maharashtra will announce the dates of next rounds, if conducted.
