Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2025 Dates and Rounds
Total 4 rounds of counselling is held for seat allocation. Students can find details of each round of counselling given below:
First round of Counselling: Candidates qualifying for NEET 2025 have to register on the official website of Maharashtra NEET 2025 to participate in the counselling process. After registration, CET Cell Maharashtra will release the seat matrix and merit list. Eligible candidates have to submit choices for colleges and courses online. Finally, the seat allotment list was released.
Second Round of Counselling: Candidates who have not been allotted seats in Round 1 or have not taken admission are eligible to participate in the second round of counselling for Maharashtra NEET 2025 counselling. Candidates who registered in Round 1 need not register again. However, they have to enter fresh choices, based on which the seat allotment was done.
Mop-up Round Counselling: The third or the mop-up round of Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2025 was conducted after the conclusion of the second round for the vacant seats.
Stray Vacancy Round Counselling: The stray vacancy round is most likely to be the last round of counselling. In this round of the Maharashtra NEET counselling 2025, the admission process for the vacant seats, or the courses apart from MBBS and BDS, such as BAMS, BUMS, BHMS and BSMS course admissions was conducted.

Maharashtra NEET counselling is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra. The state counselling authority for Maharashtra conducts the admission process for various medical and paramedical courses offered in the state under the 85 per cent State Quota seats. Candidates who qualify for the NEET exam are eligible to participate in this state counselling.
DTE Maharashtra will release the seat matrix for Maharashtra NEET UG 2025 counselling before each round. For Round 1 counselling of MBBS and BDS courses, the seat matrix was released on August 6, 2025. For Round 2, the seat matrix will be released on September 19, 2025. For the AYUSH and Medical Allied courses, the seat matrices were released on September 10 and September 11, 2025. For Maharashtra NEET 2025 Counselling Round 2, the AYUSH seat matrix will be out on September 27, 2025, followed by the Medical Allied course seat matrix on October 1, 2025. For the Stray Round of MBBS and BDS counselling, the seat matrix was released on November 11, 2025. The course-wise counselling is conducted separately, and hence, the seat matrix for different course groups will be out at different durations of the Maharashtra NEET UG counselling 2025.
Maharashtra NEET UG 2025 counselling began on July 23, 2025, with registration process. Round 4, or the Online Stray Vacancy Round was held from November 12 to November 17, 2025. Round 2 and Round 3 were conducted between August and October 2025.
The schedule for the Maharashtra NEET 2025 counselling has been announced by the CET Cell Maharashtra. Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2025 Round 1 of the MBBS and BDS courses was conducted from August 4 to August 22, 2025. Round 2 was scheduled from September 19 to September 29, 2025. The last date for registration was extended from July 30, 2025, to August 4, 2025, 11.59 PM. The registration fee had to be paid by August 5, 2025, 11.59 PM, and the documents had to be uploaded by the same date. The registration process for Maharashtra NEET counselling 2025 is completely online. Candidates must ensure that they fill up the application form with mandatory details and upload the requisite documents, and pay the application fee to complete the registration process successfully. For the Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling, the registration process is conducted only for the first and third rounds.
