Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2024: Seat Resignation Window Closes on Jan 15

Maharashtra NEET PG 2024 seat resignation deadline has been extended following the MCC's notice of seat resignation deadline for All India Quota seats for PG medical admission.
The State Cell will conclude the seat resignation process for Maharashtra NEET PG counselling 2024 tomorrow i.e. January 15, 2025. Students who have been allotted a seat in the round 1 or round 2 counselling process and now wish to vacate their allotted seat can do so on or before 5:30 PM tomorrow. The authorities have extended the last date to vacate the seat owing to the extension of the MCC NEET PG seat resignation deadline for AIQ seats.
The Maharashtra NEET PG seat resignation deadline 2024 has been extended twice. Previously, the last date to resign the state counselling seat was extended till January 8, 2025. Students who wish to vacate their allotted seat shall do the needful at the earliest possible as the authorities are unlikely to provide another extension for seat resignation,
"Resignation date for Round 1 and Round 2 seats with forfeiture of security deposit is extended up to 5.30 pm of 15th Jan 2025." The official notification reads.
Maharashtra NEET PG 2024 Round 3 Schedule Soon
The authorities have announced that the Maharashtra NEET PG round 3 counselling dates 2024 will be announced in due course. Students who are willing to appear for the counselling process for admission to PG medical seats across Maharashtra state will be able to get the complete admission schedule from the official website i.e. medical2024.mahacet.org.

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra will release the Maharashtra NEET PG counselling dates for 2025 tentatively in the fourth week of September 2025. In general, the registration window for Maharashtra NEET PG counselling lasts for four to five days. Based on student requests and other external factors, CET Cell Maharashtra may extend the last date of registration.
The Maharashtra NEET PG counselling process is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra. The state counselling authority for Maharashtra conducts the admission process for postgraduate medical and dental courses offered in the state under the 50 per cent State Quota seats. Candidates who qualify for the NEET PG and NEET MDS exams are eligible to participate in this state counselling. Maharashtra NEET PG counselling is the gateway to admission to courses such as MD, MS and MDS.

As per the last year's data, there were as many as 4,784 MD, MS, and PG Diploma seats across medical and dental colleges in Maharashtra. The course-wise segregation of seats will be available once the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra releases the seat matrix for the Maharashtra NEET PG counselling.
